SUMMARY:BD2 Auditions
DESCRIPTION:BD2\, the apprentice company of Baran Dance\, is comprised of young artists ages 12-18. The recipient of a Charlotte Emerging Dance Award in Choreography (2015)\, BD2 is a non-competetive ensemble that welcomes dancers from any school or studio. Apprentices train throughout the year under the direction of Audrey Baran and Kate Micham\, as well as other company members. Members of BD2 will have the opportunity to perform in mainstage and informal showings\, as well as learn how to begin crafting their own creative work. The audition will include contemporary technique\, repertoire\, and improvisation.\n\nWinter Concert: December 9th\, 2016 @ Duke Energy Theater at Spirit Square | Spring Concert: TBA\n\nRehearsals: Sundays 2:00-4:00pm | September-May\nTuition: $150/semester or $300/year\nAudition fee: $10 at door\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Help us kick off the 2016-2017 season in a big way! We are holding a fundraiser to provide some very important resources needed throughout the year\, but actually it's just a really awesome party. The evening features live music by Elonzo Wesley\, Sinners & Saints\, and more! Pay what you want at the door\, and remember you'll be helping us out with stuff like:\n\n \tBeyond Baran Dance\, our outreach program (we do nice things)\n \tcostumes (so we look good)\n \ttechnical needs like lighting & sound and personnel (so we look REALLY good)\n \tadvertising (so you come and see us looking good)\n \trenting performance spaces (yes\, we have to rent space)\n \tdancers' pay (YES\, DANCERS GET PAID)\n \tand more!\n\nWe hope to see you there\, but if you can't make it to the party\, you can always make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION HERE! Baran Dance is a grassroots\, community funded company. We do not have corporate sponsors or big financiers\, and we like it that way. We MOVE to move YOU\, so please do your part to help us keep moving!
